Time flies when you’re having fun! The end of the year is approaching quickly, we are in full swing organising and arranging our end of year events as well as the events for the beginning of 2026.

Our next event is a skills workshop with Dr Lucinda Dean on the 27th of November in the Perth Arms. Tickets are still available but booking is highly recommended. Tickets available here.

We started the week with Monday Memories, lots of fun conversations and one of our members make a lovely cake to share with the group (it went down an absolute treat).

A busy week for conferences too! Ruth attended conferences in Stirling and Glasgow this week, these are always a great opportunity to network with other museums and archives and find out about new developments within the sector.  We love taking part in these opportunities here in our little archive and make sure that we share any info we’ve learned with other members of the team!

We had our young archaeologists’ club this week, we were learning about ancient egypt and designing our own pyramids and designed landscapes! This was inspired by the fact the King Tutankhamun’s tomb was discovered in November 1922 and his mummy was unwrapped (eek!) in 1925.

The kids had a great time designing and even designed their own cities and deities, have a look at the videos below to see some of the hidden features within the pyramids….
