This week saw the return of one of our Pictish Piggies! This is part of our new sponsorship scheme. For £10 you can sponsor one of our lovely painted Pictish piggies. Take it home home for a month and fill its tummy with money! After a month bring it back to us in the archive, you can then take your new piggy friend home again for good or give it back to the archive to be sponsored by someone else.

Come along to the Archive and pick a pig to sponsor! The all have unique designs and names.

We have good news, we have received funding from Museums Galleries Scotland through their Leadership Capacity Fund. This funding will allow us to create vital additional capacity, and to devote time to future planning. We are very thankful for this.

The TAFAC conference kindly provided a slot for the Tayside Museum Forum’s “Tayside Treasures” presentation during their event on the 1st of November. This allowed six Tayside Museums to show off some of their treasured items and explain a bit of the history surrounding them. This presentation was prerecorded and played during the conference, it is now available to view online.   Give it a watch to find out about our treasured item…

As we are now in November, we are organising for our last events of the year. We have a few events left for this year;

Tickets are available for our events on eventbrite (limited numbers may be available on the door). For more information about Santa day visit their facebook group – Dunkeld and Birnam Santa Day | Facebook
