This week we have had lots of research requests! We’ve had a great variety if requests and have had a loevly time helping people research everything from their famiy history to the war memorial in Dunkeld. 

We have had a lovely  new aquisition of in depth research relating to the history of Dunkeld and the surrounding area.  This was the work of one of our former volunteers Eileen. We can’t wait to have a good read and find out lots of interesting things.

We have a new section of our website listing all of our clubs! We currently run a Young Archaeologists’ club and a Midweek Memories club but will be launching an adults Archaeology and History society in September for ages 16+ so please have a look at our clubs page to find out more and sign up!

Our thursday tours are continuing for the next 2 weeks. Join Dale on Thursday’s to learn about the history of soldiers in 17th century Scotland on a walking tour of Dunkeld. The tours are at 11am and 2pm .

Our August events will be part of the Jacobite festival! Join us on the 22nd 23rd and 24th of august in Stanley Hill park with the Sir Arthur Erskine regiment to learn about the histpry of the jacobite era and take part in battlefield tours about the 1689 Battle of Dunkeld.
