The end of November already! We are getting ready for a busy December.
We are starting this update with some amazing news we are delighted to announce that we have secured funding which will enable us to begin our next chapter.
Chapter 3! is made possible with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players we have been able to secure the funds we need to plan the development of the Archive, its Collection and our Activities for the next twenty years, possibly including a move to a new heritage centre. Thanks also to Museums Galleries Scotland and the Gannochy Trust for their continuing support.
We are also pleased to announce we have secured funding from the Basil Death trust for the purchase of Archival Materials. This is a wonderful piece of funding and allows us to ensure the safety of our collection with appropriate resources.
We have also been successful in obtaining the Fairer Communities for all Funding from Perth and Kinross council which will fund some of the running of our Young Archaeologists’ Club. Thank you to everyone who voted for us!
Another Big thank you to the Griffin and Calliachar Community Fund for awarding us funding to undertake a community consultation in January of 2026. Have a look at our events page to find out how to get involved!
On Thursday evening we had an Archaeology and History club skills session led by Dr Lucinda Dean about desk based historical research. There was a variety of different resources which the group learned to use which will be super helpful for future activities within the club!
We only have one session left for 2025! Join us for our Historic Dunkeld members party…
