This week our Scottish Soldier in the seventeeth century tours began. 

Clan clashes,political plots and violent battles…Follow the life of a soldier through these trying times in Scottish history.

Join Dale (in full 17th century costume) on a guided walk through the historic village of Dunkeld to explore the history and archaeology of this turbulent era of Scotland’s past defined by its battles and risings.

The walks will run every Thursday in July at 11am and 2pm and cost £10 (under 16s go free) tickets are available via eventbrite. 

The finds processing from the Young Archaeologists’ excavation is well underway, they are being seperated into their seperate types for analysis before being written into the excavation report.
